Should Stick with Slanging Booze

Morning: Jogged my weekly 4 miles at Lady Bird Lake. I still like Towne Lake better as the name.  Last week it took me about an hour and a half but this week it took me about an hour and ten minutes! I am doing better than last time which is positive improvement.  Running with my gal pal Liz is great; having a companion as a pacer, pusher and walking medical book is the best thing ever.  One thing I did learn is that I should not drink a half liter of water right before running.  There are no restrooms to be doing a pit stop.  Lesson learned.  Today was hot, so I was glad that I had changed the time from ten to nine am to run.

Snack: Laughing Cow Cheese and Garlic Wheat Chips are freaking addicting.

Pets: Liz’s cat is too cute!

Errand: Totally forgot and lost my summon jury duty paper.  Good thing I can still do it online and my thing got postponed for 90 days.  Till then Jury Duty.  I do not know whether or not to be happy becauseI have to work crazy hours and fly out.

Site Seeing: So nosey. Saw some crushed cars that reminds me of childhood Hot Rod toys. Well, seeing the cop pulling the truck over is interesting too!

Lunch: New Oriental Market Lunch came out to be $23 bucks and we were stuff for a party of three.  Liz, Ricky and I enjoyed us some Korean food. Liz and Ricky went shopping crazy for five hot minutes.  All I got was a snack, Yan Yan’s Never noticed how they have words on the sticks. Cute!

Shopping: Went to Barton Creek Mall to go shopping. It is always fun to shop with your girlfriend and run into your other girlfriends. Nice to see Katy Do and Tiffany Oudahfdufhsulf. (her last name is long.. I have no idea how to spell it)  I bought what I needed and some more.  Bad but I got great deals! I got a dress for this weekend’s wedding and accessories all under $40 at Forever XXI.  The store just opened in Barton Creek Mall not too long ago.  I did like the color of Tiffany’s Blue and black on white as the fitting room décor.  The manikins at Forever XXI looked lazy and weird.  Their body gestures tells a different story than the clothing itself.  Kind of funny in a way.

Recap: Went to MT Supermarket to get my Asian groceries done.  I got a grocery list im-ed to me from my mother. The way she embrace technology makes me smile.  After everything today, I was not able to squeeze in some yoga but running this morning was a good cardio workout. I wished I had started earlier.

Last night I had started to try to give myself a full set of nails.  I did a decent job.  Seriously though, it is nice to know that I can give myself a full set of acrylic nails but I do so much better slanging booze.  I give props to all nail technicians that does nails out there.  Though try selling liquor.  Deal with all types of people for 11 hour straight with the occasional drunks, bums and meanies.  Though the nice, humble and sweet ones make it all worthwhile to continue.  I am able to smile to everyone regardless of the situation being dealt.  I will sticking to my slanging booze and attempt my nails two weeks later.

Music: I have been in the mood for Ghostland Observatory this morning working out and driving around town. Sad, Sad City is my all time favorite song from them:

Enjoy them with UT Longhorn Band:

Day Better with a Wig

Morning: I went jogging as my morning activity. It felt great to be outside.  Lightly drizzling, the weather seemed to be uplifting to egg me on in continuing to run. I like my running gear. I work out with Nike Triax C3 Hear Rate Watch with Chest Strap.  I have been debating if I wanted to buy a new running watch but this one has not been broken to be buying a sportier one.

Lunch: Homeslice http://www.homeslicepizza.com/ I had my monthly lunch with my brother Quang.  He never had the pizza here before so it was a perfect place to go! The venue is great!  You have the choice to walk up and order at the window or sit inside.  Service is always great there but the food is good! We had a medium pizza with sausage, mushrooms, basils and garlic.  We ate all except for two slices.

My Sweet Leaf Tea http://www.sweetleaftea.com/ had a cute saying underneath the cap.  I had to share the funny message of what we all have once done before.

SoCo: We walked to the shops and boutiques on South Congress just to feel better after what we had done to our tummy.  Saw some unique items and fun stuff.  As we were walking toward the Lucy In Disguise With Diamonds http://www.lucyindisguise.com/home.html , we saw a “free” fax machine.  I thought the note on the machine was kind of funny. Quang and I looked at some costumes and accessories to gather up some ideas for Halloween this year. I bought a wig. We also went to Uncommon Objects http://www.uncommonobjects.com/  where they had some dolls and salt n’ pepper shakers that caught my eyes.  Other items that caught my eyes happen to be a bit disturbing. They where the doll heads in glass containers.  They had some other antique items that I thought were pretty cool; one was the 7up “the uncola” upside down glass.  A lot of things there reminded Quang and I of San Angelo and our childhood memories.

Monday Night Shows: I got suckered to sit on the couch doing laundry watching all my favorite shows. The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, House, Heroes and Monday Night Football.  I have to admit that the Dolphins and the Jets played a good game.  I was able to squeeze a load of laundry in.  Now I got tons of clothes to wear for working out! I find myself showing twice a day now ever since I am more active now.

Recap:  I did not do yoga today.  I really need to do some laundry and clean up the place a bit for the week.  I was able to catch up with some friends and family on the phone.  I still need to get a dress for this weekend.  Tomorrow is a full shift therefore it will be my break day before my good workout on Wednesday.

I really like the wig I bought.  I had tried a lot and the one I chose came out great! Glam gal here I come! Now I just need to find the right dress and shoes.

Music: I've been listening to some Rilo Kiley lately.  Reminds me of Houston back in the day.

Start Fresh

Started my day with my coffee - vanilla latte - from Frank http://hotdogscoldbeer.com/  Tyler, barista, makes some slamming coffee and not to mention does some nice latte art. I had noticed that Maker's Mark had gave them some promotion cups. I like!

Wholefoods Market.  Did some shopping and grabbed some lunch. Saw some cute baby pineapples and could not resist to capture a picture of it! As I was shopping along, I saw some bento lunchbox conatiner. I so want a mini-me to prepare school lunch for! odd feeling.. yes I know.

I now notice that I floss at least 4 times a week and brush my teeth 3 times a day. I do not want to get gum disease and cavities like my friends Liz and Ricky. Shame on them for not flossing!

Dharma Yoga. www.dharma-yoga.net  I took my first session of yoga today. It was AWESOME! I have to admit that I was very nervous, scared and self-conscience. Being afraid of doing the correct poses should not be an issue. That fact that Jeni went with me to reassure me that I should just relaxe and not worry about being judged.  She was right. After class, I was very loose, relaxed and happy.  Key word: happy. The studio was very inviting and warm.  I was introduced to a little bit of thai yoga massage. Very interesting.

Thai Kitchen.  Had some chicken coconute lemongrass soup and beef curry for dinner after yoga. I have been craving some thai coconut soup and satisfied it.

The Yogurt Spot. Got some desserts, Razzgranate sorbet + green tea envy + mochi balls + mandarine oranges * sprinkles = smiles.

Let's Go Out

Tool: This is my favorite office supply at the store. Makes my life easy. It can staple arse load of papers with very little work. I like.

UT Game Day: Support & Shade. Nice.
Sam's Club: Running errands. Bought Lost Symbol while I happen to see a line of people waiting for samples. Crazy people. Good thing I am getting Chik-fil-A for lunch, if not, I would have to wait in very long line. :)
Dinner: Mushroom soup.

Chef Max: brought over some samples.
A needed night out with the Trios. Ran into Simon. :)
Lanai.

Trios.

Birthday Boy: Teddy Simon.

My Liz at Frank. I needed sausage. I was hungry.

Got the beer brat. Yumm~

Recap: I really needed a night. I'm glad the night went the way it did. People are available at certain moments in life for a reason. Not everyone, nor me at times, can make it out for all the outings, needed drinks or "let's just do something." I know deep in their heart, they would if they could. I am just thankful for all that I have. Yes, I am thankful for good brats.
