Mmmm... Soup Dumplings..

New York bounded. Took the Bally's Bus toward Chinatown.

First Stop: Joe'sShanghai for my lunch/dinner.  Their soup dumplings...... are a must!

Snacks: Cafe Sambuca for my cognac pumpkin cheesecake and latte. Then off to Snacky's for my Red Velvet.  I cut my cupcake in half adn eat it like a tiny sandwich.  It makes the whole ratio of cake and icing better!

Drinks: Yello is the one bar that I always end up at every time I venture up to the city,  From my lychee drinks, playing dice, chai mui and singing my heart out, I am always at home here.

Taxi: It is never too hard to get a taxi to come your way.  I love how their is a touch screen in the back seat for my entertainment.

Recap: It's nice to see my best friend and all familiar faces again.

Walk AC and Prep for the Wedding

Day: Started the day hanging out around The Walk for some shopping.

Evening: Went to Formica Bakery to buy some fresh bread.  They have a cafe store front, but you can buy loafs of bread, baguettes, and hoagies anytime and any day at their bakery all the way in the back through the alley.  The smell of fresh baked bread is an inviting smell to those who have not experienced that.

Task: To make 30 centerpieces, main vases and more.  Tram does a great job with floral arrangements.  We had called it a night around 4am while she stayed up till 6am working on them.

Phillie walk around Chinatown

Went to Philadelphia to pick up my uncle from the airport.  Went around Chinatown to venture the city.  My two favorite places to eat around here is Penang and  Sang Kee Peking Duck House. Penang always had good Malaysian food from what I have remembered.  Sang Kee just knows how to make Pecking Duck right.,

Philadelphia SW Love

Airport: Left at 5:15am. Morning coffee and breakfast at Austin java in ABIA with a good friend. (We both had to fly out) Southwest Airlines always give great customer service!! At Houston Airport, I had to get some latte from Peet's Coffee & Tea.

Random: I like the sign I saw while enjoying my 2 hour layover.

Philidelphia: Landed. Not much sight seeing here because I had to meet up the gals to eat my late lunch/dinner.  Wendy's daughter, Breanna, can never get my name right. Amy is close enough. That girl can work an iPhone better than most people I know! Huong's daughter, Kim Ngan (gray), is so smart and dieu! I love them both! We always eat at Nam Phuong , their family package is always a good deal! Bo Luc Lac here with watercrest has been and will be my favorite here.

Family: My cousin, Rosita, has the cutest baby girl, Emmabelle. I still can not believe she's expecting her baby boy in December!

Recap:  It has been a little over a year and a half since I have been back up here.  I enjoy seeing my family and friends here.  Off to bed early to hit the boardwalk for my jog!  <3 the ocean!

It's pancakes and coffee day

Morning: Omelettry Had a meet up to have breakfast with Thi.  The day started off mild and cool, so it called for some warm pancakes! That place never disappoints me. No matter what I order, I have to satisfy my tummy with blueberry buttermilk pancakes. To all those that had inquired, I do eat my pancakes from the inside out.  The reason being is that I go straight for the moist and goodness.  There is no reason and no time to waste when it comes to deliciousness.  I do not like pancake crust for some reason, I see it as a waste of tummy space. :) The reason why there is some crust missing, is because Thi had to try some.  Typical to eat from the outside and miss out on the goodness in the inside.  So for some good home-style, missing mom's breakfast food, go here.  I've been going here for years. Service and food has yet to put a frown on my face. Two thumbs up!

Dog: Cu Nho.  He sleeps just as much or maybe even more than I do.  When I am getting ready for my day, he just lays there until I have to step out of the door. Lazy.

Snack: Bi-colored corn taste so good.

Field Trip: Lilly and Baby J (long hair)

Midnight Snack: Velveeta.  Oh my gosh, this is good!

Yoga: Black Swan Yoga Took Vinyasa Dance taught by Tyler. It was my first Vinyasa Dance and it is not going to be my last. I had so much fun just being free, moving free and having a good time! I danced like a fool, acted like a fool and felt good about it.  It was from 8:30-10:30 pm.  The session started off with regular vinyasa and gradually moved into some free flowing moves.  The fact that yoga is so non-judgmental, you can move freely and enjoy it.  Know your body, know how it wants to move, allowing it to move how it wants to move.  That was when the fun started.  We danced and pranced all around the studio and calmed down with some Sound Bath. The sound bath we had here was where we sat in a tight circle and just concentrated on our breathing, exhaling whatever comes out and just bathing your surrounding in sound, vibration, rhythm and peace. The session ended in the gong.  If you have never experienced this, you need to. I cannot explain the sensation of winding down, breathing to the vibration and just soaking in the positive vibes. This session was a great way for me to end my Friday night.

Recap: Dance is allowing the body to be free. I like free. Who doesn’t?

Kim chi hit the spot

Lunch: Together This place is a little restaurant that serves good Korean food! Their seafood pancake is good compared to other places I have been.  I admit that I had wrote this place off when Jeni mentioned it.  I am glad that she made me realize this place is awesome! Please note, they do not close till 2am, even better! Lunch was a nice trio with Jeni and Ricky.  Liz missed out on some tummy yummy!

Dinner: North First time trying this place.  Got the pork tenderloin and flank steak. It was raining outside and they had the placed opened.  Too bad there was no breeze and made the restaurant humid.  If I have to glisten while I eat, of course I can not enjoy my food.  I gave the place 3 out of 5 stars overall.  The food could be better.  Jeni told me their pasta is good, so I have to give that place another try.

Desserts: Halycon How can I not end my night sweetly? Thi and I went to go grab some good lattes and s'mores after dinner.  Jeni met us up after she attended Gary Vaynerchuk's book signing.

Recap: This rainy day was accompanied by some food, desserts and good friends.  I am not complaining at all.

Ashes, Frenzy, Pigg, - Oh My!

Part 1 Image Gallery of Work, Garden, Boombox - Yee Haw!

Work: The usual day at the liquor store.  If you follow me Lawnee then you'll find out how bored I got when I find a cowboy hat and sit in front of a camera.

Errand: The Great Outdooes Nursery Took my mother to go buy some orchids here.  I always enjoy seeing different unique plants they bring in (we buy a lot of them) and how they decorate it around statues of Buddha.  There was a Thailand Super Size Elephant Ear that I had to take a picture with just to show how big the leaf was.

Break: Went to Fair Bean Coffee for my usual Tortilla Espanol Italian Sausage with Fresh Red to drink.  Did some work and read. Chilled there for a while before the concert.

Concert: The Parish Room Went to see Amongst the Oaks & Ashes, A Fine Frenzy and Landon Pigg perform.  They were awesome! Event Landon played a new song and his Coffee Shop with A Dress to Kill. A Fine Frenzy rocked it! She ended her night with Almost Lover which I thought was the best song through out the whole night.  This event is their first event to kick off their fall tour. Please note that the pictures from the concert is from Jeni.

Found out that I had experience claustrophobia where I had experienced some of the symptoms. Boo! Never had I experienced that before and I have been to many events where space is tight.  I just needed to get some fresh air and not stand too close to the stage. I like standing close to the stage. :)

After the concert, I somehow found myself at Lucky Lounge watching Boombox perform on their regular Tuesdays.  I had a blast hanging out with Oscar and Breanne!

Recap: This Tuesday was jammed packed! Work, errands, friends, concerts and drinking. Washed my car thinking it will rain on Wednesday.  Nope!  I needed the car wash anyways, it was glittered with bugs from my drive this past weekend. Went to two concerts and enjoyed both! I went with great friends and had a blast. I learned this time aroung that concerts always do well with Blue Moon. :)

Mondayssssss

Mondays: Are dreadful. No coffee, no breakfast.

Haircut: Took my mother to get her haircut and I then decided that I want one too.  I notice that I only cut my hair when I am in the mood and it happens to be sporadic.  We went to California Cuts where Jimmy works on my mother and Lisa tended to me.

Work: Monday sucks. Today seemed to be really slow.  I did not even get the chance to work out.

Late Night Munchies: Got hungry past midnight.  Ramen and rice is there to make my tummy happy.

Music: Mondays remind me of Tegan and Sara.

Austin Bound for home

Morning: The gals, Cindy, Katherine, Luke and I had brunch at Le Peep .  The place was good! I had ordered the Southern Benedict and was not disappointed.

Snack: I then left my midtown crew to meet up with Christine.  We had The Yogurt Spot which hit the spot after being disappointed yesterday.  As always you can never see my yogurt after I was done with my toppings. The place happen to have the game on.  Football and frozen yogurt together in one room makes me a one happy gal!

Asians: We went to go shopping around Chinatown and I happen to see a guy push a kid around the plaza like nothing.  I would never see this in my HEB.

Recap: I had a great Sunday hanging out with my best friend Christine. I have not been able to hang out with her much at all therefore it was very nice of her to take the day off.  I had visited her parents.  Her mom is soooo cute!  I finally saw her dogs and they were too adorable. We had forgot to take a picture together for memories, next time!

I am thankful for my great coffee today for accompanying me on my trip back to Austin. Oh how I really needed you!

Music: I happen to really be stuck on A Fine Frenzy ever since I found out she's playing at the The Parish this week. I had missed out on seeing her play during 2009 SXSW .

Texas OU Game

Football: Started the day watching Texas beat the Sooners.  We watched the game at Christian's Tail Gate Bar.  The game overall could have been better but we won on this low scoring game. Met up with my good friends and met some new ones.

Snack: Katherine and I went to Sweet Lola for some frozen yogurt.  It was not the best and had a small selection.  The toppings I give a fat zero for no sprinkles and mochi balls.  They do get a point for those chocolate balls.  They remind me of Sixlets but with a thicker shell.

Gal Time: Katherine and I chilled with some martini at her place.  It is always nice to catch up and spend some gal pal time.

Wedding: I went as Luke's date to a wedding.  The wedding was an asian wedding but with a modern twist to it.  It was beautiful.  Met a lot of old and new faces.

After Party: Met up with my gals at Belvedere for some drinks. The place looked nice and the feel was ok.  Music could be better and the place was not that packed as we had hoped for.

Recap:  I was designated driver and thank goodness for google and Map App on my iPhone.  My friend was so drunk where he lead me in circles around Houston to every desination we had to go to.  Overall, I had a great time hanging with my friends and spending a weekend away from work! UT won!
